After the deluge

Hello Friends,

Hope you weathered the storms ok. RealSurf HQ’s rain gauge recorded 203mm yesterday! This morning things are very different. Only a sprinkle or two so far and wind is SW at 17-30 kts at 1000. That means surface conditions in the south corners were pretty clean for the dead south swell which was 4m at sea at 11 seconds apart. It was maybe half that size on sets at Dee Why when I grabbed the snaps around 0900.

As you’d expect, Beachwatch has declared all Sydney beaches to be likely polluted. Water looked grim to me, so I’m not risking my health. Plus with all the organic matter, the sharks could be poking around a bit more than usual in the surf zone.

Swell should stick around into the weekend and be pretty solid tomorrow into Friday. Know your limits folks.

Catch you again tomorrow
