"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Chest to shoulder plus at magnets

Hello Friends,

When I grabbed the pics it was about an hour before high tide and the waves had that fat look about them. Plus it’s cogged down since yesterday (at 1010 it was 1.6m @14sec from 163°). Set wave faces along the beach were close enough to head high not to matter. It was a bit smaller at the point where a small crew were chasing relatively brief rides in the swampy conditions. Up the beach toward Longy, the swell was bigger but no more consistent. People were spending a fair amount of time just bobbing around waiting for the catchable ones. Maybe as the tide drops things will improve.

At 1000 the wind was out of the NNW at 6-9 kts, so surface conditions weren’t too textured. It’s due to pick up a bit as we get to the middle part of the day, but I don’t think it’ll blow out.

As always on a Thursday, I’m looking forward to seeing what the Goat has to say about the coming week. A quick scan of the charts leads me to believe we’re not out of waves just yet…

Have a great Thursday everyone!

Still pretty straight along the open stretches
Long wait for this one to come through at the Pole
