"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Another grey and choppy start

Hello Friends,

The NE wind blew all night and was 10-15 kts at daybreak. Swell was 1.8 metres at 11 seconds from the east but as you can see from the pics, the usual situation prevails at Dee Why in a NE’r. Head for the north corners if you’re keen. Tide was low at 0545 and will be back to a 1.7m high at 1115. Weather’s set to stay cloudy and blowy all day. Water’s inched up to 19C according to Beachwatch, who also found water quality good along the beaches this morning.

The Goat should be along later with a few thoughts on the weekend and beyond, so I’ll just say for now that I’m keen to see what he thinks of our near term prospects.

Have yourself a great Thursday everyone!

Weather Situation

A high pressure system near New Zealand will continue to direct east to northeasterly winds along the coast for the remainder of today. Meanwhile, the northeasterly winds will strengthen along the southern half of the coast as a low pressure trough approaches from the west. The trough will then bring a south to southwesterly change to the coast on Friday, before a ridge builds across the state on the weekend, easing winds.
