Clean start to Friday morning

Hello Friends,

Well there’s a turn up for the books. Yesterday the call was for southerlies this morning, but lo and behold, it was actually westerly at 0730. So the early risers who weren’t put off by the forecast were rewarded with clean chest to head high sets at Dee Why. Swell out at sea was coming primarily from the south with heights of 3.8 metres and a period of 10 seconds. Tide hits a swampy 1.75 metres at 0845. By the time it’s back to the low at 1530 the Bureau says the wind will be 15-25 kts from the south to SE. Weather’s expected to be showery again and the 22 degree ocean water is mostly clean apart from Manly and the other lagoon entrances.

Right on schedule, the Mighty Goat has rolled out his latest review of the surf situation for the coming week, and as always, I commend his wisdom to you.

BTW, I’m off on a wander to catch up with family and friends, so expect a somewhat sporadic posting pattern for a week or two.

Have a great Friday everyone!

Weather Situation

Fresh southerly winds are likely persist for the coming days as a slow-moving high pressure system moving into the southern Tasman Sea extends a ridge along the New South Wales coast.
