"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Very tiny Saturday morning

Hello Friends,

Surface conditions were smooth before 0800 thanks to a light NW breeze. As expected, the swell has weakened overnight and as of 0500 this morning, the MHL buoy was detecting a metre of 6-second NE wind swell. The best exposures were mostly in the knee high range, but seeing the very occasional waist plus set. So, a perfect day for beginners or to work on your mal riding skills. Tide was low at 0500 and will be back to the 1.5m high at 1110. The ocean should be clean with a temperature on 19. Weather-wise we can expect showers as the day goes along, and it looks as though the showery stuff will be around into the middle of next week. Unfortunately, the surf outlook isn’t looking too flash for tomorrow and the rest of the week is shaping to be less than special too. With luck it won’t actually go flat on us and there’ll be something to mess around in.

Go well with your Saturday!

Weather Situation

A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is producing north to northwesterly winds ahead of a cold front, which will bring a fresh to strong south to southwesterly change to the southern waters on Saturday. After this, winds are forecast to weaken as a new high pressure system extends a ridge across the region from the west.
