Hello Friends,

Hopes of a little remnant swell from yesterday’s all to brief south pulse appear not to have transpired, at least where Dee Why’s concerned. The buoy data from 0740 was showing a metre of 14-second straight south though, which might mean the odd moment of fun at south magnets this morning. Tide’s headed to a very high 1.94 metres at 0950. By 1640 it will have drained out to a very low 0.27 m. Although it was more cloudy than not this morning, the Bureau says it should be mostly sunny and a stinkin’ hot 37 along the coast with 15-20 kts of NE wind ahead of a late swing to the S-SW. It was 7-10 kts from the north at 0730. Water’s on 22 and an absolute delight.

Be sure to check back later for the latest week-ahead surf forecast from the Goat, and have yourself a great Thursday.

Weather Situation

A high pressure system lies over the Tasman Sea while a trough lies over western New South Wales, resulting in strong north to northeasterly winds over Coastal Waters. The trough will become mobile as a cold front passes to the south. The trough shifts to the northeast during today and stalls resulting in a southerly change along southern and central parts of the coast. Then a second cold front passing to the south will bring another southerly change along the coast during the weekend.
