Beaut morning with chest plusses at magnets

Hello Friends,

Warm start to the day with more sunny than not skies, a light westerly(!) breeze and 1.4 metres of 9.5-second E-ENE wind swell lighting up the magnets with chest to even shoulder high waves faces on the bigger sets. But it looks to be magnets-only though. There were at least 40 people in the (slightly tea-coloured) water at Northy, but from there south to north Collaroy, it was just too tiny to surf. A similar situation around at Dee Why-Long Reef where the only waves were roughly mid-stretch.  Tide’s coming off the 0840 low and heading to a moderate 1.45m high at 1450.

Wind will gradually come around to easterly quarters by midday as we head to a high of 30.

Tomorrow morning might be fun again as more offshore breezes and sunny skies are predicted – but swell looks like fading into the marginal range…

Have a top old Thursday one and all!

Not much to surf on, but lovely morning for a chat at Longy
Sole occupant of the point not over-stressed with choices
Pretty quiet at Dee Why
The odd little fun one south of the Pole

Weather Situation

Northerly winds on the coast today ahead of a south to southwesterly change associated with a front moving up the coast. This front will bring a southerly change to southern waters later today before extending further up the coast by the end of the week. Winds will then tend east to northeasterly during the weekend as a high pressure system builds in the Tasman Sea.
