Hello Friends,

Australia Day: 29 degrees at 0730 and we’re headed to a high of 38 ahead of a southerly buster in the early afternoon. Wind came around to the NW shortly after daybreak and was 12-18 kts by 0730. Waves were in the knee to waist-ish high range at better exposures, but looking rather weak and inconsistent. Tide was filling into the 1.8m high at 0940 and the Botany Bay wave buoy was showing a metre of 10 second energy from the NE. Water is clean and 23 at Dee Why according to Beachwatch.

Have a good one!

Dee Why looking weak

Weather Situation

A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge towards the northern waters. A cold front will bring a strong and gusty southerly change to southern and central waters today, reaching the Mid North Coast in the evening, and then weaken as it reaches the north coast on Saturday. After this, a new ridge of high pressure is forecast to develop along the New South Wales coast.
