Not happening on Friday morning

Hello Friends,

Another grey, steamy and surfless morning I’m afraid. As the screen grab below shows, the MHL buoy was seeing only tiny, short period, dead south wind bump out at sea. So, no waves for us today, nor it seems for tomorrow. If you’re wondering when we’ll see surf again, have a look at the Goat’s latest ruminations upon our boardriding prospects for the week to come.

Weather Situation

A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is slow-moving. A southerly change that moved up from the south overnight will weaken on the Hunter coast early today. Another trough and southerly change is expected to move along the coast during Saturday, reaching the far north in the evening or overnight. A deep low pressure is expected to develop over the southern Tasman Sea on Sunday.
