At 0900 the surf options at Dee Why were mostly knee to waist high with the odd crazy chest high bomb. You could definitely get a wave, but the quality wasn’t exactly off the Richter. Wind was coming lightly from the west under partly cloudy skies. Swell out at sea was 1.4 metres at 12 seconds from the SSE. Tide hit a modest 1.37 high at 0925, after which it dipped a little to the 0.64 m low at 1455. Water’s dropped to 19 and remains clean according to Beachwatch.
From the look of this morning’s swell models, we should have little waves more or less like these through to midweek.

A high pressure system centred southwest of Tasmania is extending a ridge onto New South Wales coast. The system is expected to move north over the week, maintaining a ridge over the coast. A trough is forecast to brush the southern most waters late Saturday.
