Hello Friends,
Huey’s slinging the Sunday surfers a solid pulse of S-SSE swell this morning. It looks to have peaked at around 3.2 metres overnight and is now dropping back (it was 2.6 m at 0600) – but as the pictures show, as of 0750 there were still some sizable sets rolling in.
Tide was a 1`.4m high at 0555 and is now dropping to the low at 1140. The Bureau says the swell should stick around in the 2-2.5 metre range before it fades out overnight.
Should be sunny with S-SW wind, so from here it looks like there should be surf options pretty much all day.
Outlook for the week ahead is for it to be smaller but not flat tomorrow, and that most days next week should offer something surfable, particularly in the mornings.
Have a great Sunday!
Weather Situation
A cold front which brought a southerly change to the coast has now reached the Queensland border. Southerly winds will continue to ease during the day as the front moves east away from the coast and a high pressure system drifts from the southwest of the state to the northeast by the end of the day. Winds in the south will tend north to northeasterly later in the afternoon. Fresh northerly winds will develop on Monday ahead of the next front, which is forecast to move through most of New South Wales on Tuesday.
