The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor – NOW out on DVD
Posted on January 8th, 2009 in Advertorial, News Stories, Top stories.Advertorial
The action shifts to Asia for the third chapter in the adventure series, where explorer Rick O’Connell must fight the resurrected Han Emperor (Jet Li) in an epic that races from the catacombs of ancient China high into the frigid Himalayas. Rick’s son Alex (Luke Ford), wife Evelyn (Maria Bello) and her brother, Jonathan (John Hannah) all join Rick in this new, swashbuckling adventure. And this time, the O’Connells must stop a mummy awoken from a 2,000-year-old curse that threatens to plunge the world into his merciless, unending service.
Doomed by a double-crossing sorceress (Michelle Yeoh) to spend eternity in suspended animation, China’s ruthless Dragon Emperor and his 10,000 warriors have laid forgotten for eons, entombed in clay as a vast, silent terra cotta army.
But when Alex is tricked into awakening the ruler from eternal slumber, the reckless young archaeologist must seek the help of the only people who know more than he does about taking down the undead: his parents! When the monarch roars back to life, the O’Connells find his quest for world domination has only intensified over the millennia. Striding the Far East with unimaginable supernatural powers, the Emperor Mummy will rouse his legion as an unstoppable, otherworldly force…unless the O’Connells can stop him first!

Video Ezy are running a promotion over summer where they’re giving away a PS3 and Blu-ray pack a day for a whole month. It runs from 26 Dec 08 through to 26 Jan 09. Just head into store and ask about their summer nights promo and how to enter. And while you’re there they’ve got some pretty cool releases to rent over summer like The Mummy 3 and Hellboy 2.
After an ancient truce existing between humankind and the invisible realm is broken, hell on Earth is ready to erupt. A ruthless leader who treads the world above and the one below defies his bloodline and awakens an unstoppable army of creatures. Now, it’s up to the planet’s toughest, roughest superhero to battle the merciless dictator and his marauders. He may be red. He may be horned. He may be misunderstood. But when you need the job done right, it’s time to call in Hellboy (Ron Perlman).
Along with his team in the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Development – the BPRD will travel between the surface strata and the unseen magical one, where creatures of fantasy become all-too real. And Hellboy, a creature of two worlds who’s accepted by neither, must choose between the life he knows and an unknown destiny that beckons him. Directed by Guillermo Del Toro, the visionary director of Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy 2 has a signature blend of action and humour as the saga of the world’s toughest, kitten-loving hero from Hell continues to unfold.
GSI Release 7S Super Fish Epoxy Range :: video :: pics
Posted on December 5th, 2008 in Advertorial, News Stories, Top stories.
Continual feedback from retailers and consumers around the world led Global Surf Industries to develop an Epoxy version of the very successful 7S Super Fish.
This board has just been released to the marketplace in the USA, Australia and New Zealand. The Sandwich Epoxy construction used by GSI in making the 7S Super Fish sees a machined EPS core wrapped in fiberglass and a thin wood veneer embedded into the deck, this allows the board to be lightweight and have a natural flex pattern. The wrapped core is then laminated with Epoxy resin and sandwiched together with a top and bottom skin to give the board great durability.
Standard sizes from 5’9” – 8’0” cover just about every surfer on the planet. Sold in over 50 countries currently, the 7S Super Fish is one of the most popular surfboards on the planet due to its wave catching ability and performance in a wide variety of conditions.
It features a Step deck design to give the board maximum volume so it paddles fast. The performance rails allow the board to be ridden hard and fast. For more information go to: www.surfindustries.com/7S
Need Studio Space?
Posted on November 25th, 2008 in Advertorial, Local Colour, News Stories, Top stories.RealSurf would like very much to help Friend of RealSurf and longtime RealSurf graphic designer, Tim Q.
He needs to find the right person to share studio space:
Creative Suite has space for 1 or 2 in our Manly studio.
It would suit a creative industry freelancer or small business. You might be a web developer, an animator, a director, or something of the sort. We’d like to keep it creative, and would look to use your talents along the line.
There’s an adjoined meeting room, kitchen stuff, and a massive wrap around balcony ready for multiple concurrent cricket matches, summer bbq’s, and glimpses of the harbour if your neck is long enough. Rent includes ADSL2 internet if you want.
We like a bit of music, don’t smoke, go to the beach at lunch, go to the pubs across the road at will, eat wherever we so please, and generally feel that our studio is the wonderful part of a life of work.
If you’re interested, give us a shout on 9977 8828 or through our website @ www.creativesuite.com.au. It’s prettty much ready to go when you are.

WineMarket gives RealSurfers a GREAT deal
Posted on November 20th, 2008 in Advertorial, News Stories, Top stories.Hey RealSurfers,
Shari here. You may have seen the ad for WineMarket up in the right corner. I just wanted to let you all know that this offer is not a catch. Anyone who visits RealSurf.com gets $30 off ANY case of wine.
If you drink wine or know someone who does, read below and there’s a link to the RealSurf offer on WineMarket.com.au at the end of this article.
WineMarket.com.au may look like just another online wine store but in reality it’s anything but. We are your insider on the ground with access to the kind of deals the big retailers wouldn’t see in a month of sober Sundays. That’s because we’re part of the winemaking community, not a bottom-line driven behemoth that feeds off it. We can get the deals no-one else can. The kind of deals you used to only get if you married the winemaker’s ugly sister.
We may not be good surfers down here in the Barossa but we do know the importance of draining every drop out of something you love and while you’re out there in the big blue we’re up to our ears in big reds…and we’re more than happy for you to drop in and share them.
So if you are looking for something special to wash the salt from your mouth, check out the deals we’ve got on some of the biggest names in the world of wine. You can use your $30 RealSurf voucher on any wine case of the website!
And we promise to deliver your wine for $5 per case or carton wherever you live and surf in Australia.
