Little waves at North Curly this am (vid)
Fun little high tide affected waves for the keen on a sunny Friday morning
Dee Why point Thursday afternoon (vid)
Coming home, loose-lipped from the dentist, swung by Dee Why for a quick look. Wind had actually backed off a bit and the swell was producing the occasional head plus bomb. So, I grabbed you another single-take sequence off the point…
North Steyne at 0900 (vid)
Dark grey skies and chop-inducing light easterly onshore with a high tide at North Steyne this morning when I stopped to shoot a video minute. The two metre 12-sec east swell was quite consistent and though most waves were unmakeable shutdowns, the fun ones were reasonably plentiful for the sizable crowd.
Looks like the swell’s starting to fill in at Northy (vid)
It was tiny this morning, but when I checked Northy around 1100, the swell was clearly evident. Carpark Rights were doing their crunchy thing and although busy, the waves were coming frequently enough that you didn’t have long to wait for your turn. Check out how many takeoff there are in this 90-sec clip…
Mid-Curly grovellers (vid)
Found myself out and about this morning, so swung by Curly to see if it was picking up anything. It was, sorta, but just in the middle where the little windswell was focussing on a high tide friendly bank.
Curly this morning (vid)
Went for a quick sesh at north Curly this morning. Crowd thickened up steadily because it was really a pretty fun little peak between 0830 and 1000. Here’s a taste of the conditions…
Dee Why beach late morning (vid)
A summer Monday morning, the onshore just starting to stir into life, the tide a bit on the low side, but there were waist to chest high wave faces every now and again…
Late morning follow up, it blew out (vid)
Still some swell to play with, but the SE wind was working it over at Dee Why by around 1000 when I shot this video minute
South Narrabeen late morning Tuesday (vid)
Hot morning and there were little wind swell waves splashing up on south Narrabeen beach for those wanting to escape to the cool.
North Curl Curl at noon Monday (vid)
Stopped by North Curly for a look at the waves around midday and grabbed a little clip for you. It was small, but reasonably consistent despite being somewhat fat and weak. Here’s the clip… As I was about to pull out of the parking lot, I spotted this healthy blue tongue making his(?) way north. […]
