Smaller again at Shelley this morning, but still a few

Posted on April 21st, 2016 in Central Coast.

Swell’s dropped along the central coast too, but there were still a few glassy little peaks breaking almost on the beach at Shelley, so fun was had.
Normal programming resumes tomorrow!

Small but catchable at Shelley

Hello Friends,

Didja get a wave this morning? There were some little things at the north end of Shelley Beach until about 1000. Nothing special, but you could catch ’em and the bigger sets were delivering wave faces into the chest high range – so down a fair amount from yesterday. Sea breeze was into it by late morning.
After getting out, I grabbed the camera and took a few shots to share…

Scrappy Shelley this arvo

Spending a couple days up the coast to sample the surf offerings. Definitely waves this afternoon, but by the time we got here the south wind was chopping it up. Shelley Beach looked about the best option and the local crew were on it despite the strictly ordinary conditions. I grabbed a few snaps of the moments when it somehow came together.

Fine, dry and mild on the Central Coast this morning.  1 – 2 foot swell from the south east.  Semi smooth conditions.  Have a good weekend.

2 -3 feet of mush due to moderate onshore southerly winds and heavy showers dropping 100 mls overnight.  No too tempting!  Have a good one.

Andy Irons R I P

Posted on November 3rd, 2010 in Central Coast, Surf Reports.

THE surfing world is in mourning with reports that three-time world champion Andy Irons is dead.

ESPN website claim sources close to the Hawaiian have confirmed the shocking news which has begun to reverberate around the globe.

The cause of death is yet unknown but surfing websites have suggested Irons was battling a severe bout of dengue fever.

Irons missed his Round 1 and 2 heats at the Rip Curl Search Puerto Rico stop on the ASP Men’s World Tour on Saturday due to illness and was travelling back home when the 32 year-old was deemed too ill to travel on his connecting flight from Texas to Hawaii and was grounded there.

Unconfirmed reports say that he passed away in his Dallas hotel room.

Fine, dry and sunny….1 – 2 feet of southerly swell which is small, weak and semi-smooth.  Light northwest breeze due to turn northeast later.  Have a good one.

Overcast but dry. There is a 2 – 3 foot east northeast swell inconsistent and messy. Northeast breeze.  Have a good one…
