Fun smaller waves this morning.
Posted on December 3rd, 2010 in Longy. The waves are a little smaller than yesterday. Its only 1 – 2 foot with a may be and I do say may be, a bigger wave every 10 sets. Wind swell from the ENE and Longy is more protected from the NE wind, which is keeping it sort of smooth. There are some fun little walls to be had. Enjoy. Surf Photos of You.
Little bigger….3 foot+…. waves today
Posted on December 2nd, 2010 in Longy.I was surprised when I got to Longy to see some swell that has been lacking for about 3 weeks or more. Its about 3 -4 foot head high on some sets. The wind is light and the surface not too bad. There was a little rippy bank at the northern end a few blokes were riding. They were also trying out this 5’3″ finless board. Any way there a few walls on this bank but down the beach was a little full. At least its not raining….. yet. Enjoy. Surf Photos of You.
Not happening today.
Posted on October 1st, 2010 in Longy. Its a fairly grey morning this morning down at Longy. Not much happening right along the beach. You will have to be keen this morning. 1 – 2 foot and the wind turning on shore. Surf Photo of You.
2 – 3 foot this morning.
Posted on September 30th, 2010 in Longy. The swell has increased to 2 – 3 foot with waves on the bombie ledge (not to consistent) and down the beach out infront of the lagoon. There are also waves down near the Poles all the way to Dee Why. Wind from the west at about 10 knots and is still a little bumpy. Surf Photos of You. Enjoy.
Bigger than yesterday… bigger tomorrow.
Posted on September 29th, 2010 in Longy. Its getting a little bigger at Long Reef this morning. 1 – 2 foot at best. The beach is still empty of surfers (7.10am) mainly because of the strong SW wind making conditions bumpy. Plus the temp has dropped (14c) from yesterdays summery conditions. Looks like the swell maybe on the rise, peaking Thursday.
Longy 1 – 2 foot.
Posted on September 27th, 2010 in Longy.Get out your longboard again as the swell has dropped from the 2 foot yesterday. Nice conditions for a fun surf. Tide a little low at Longy this morning and you might wait an hour or two. Enjoy your day. Surf Photos of You
It looks big but its not.
Posted on September 26th, 2010 in Longy.Another beautiful morning down at Longy this morning. The back bombie is breaking very ocassionaly which gives an impression if you first saw it, that there is a bit of size there. But theres no size what so ever. 2 – 3 foot on the beach with the back bombie breaking at 4 foot. Wind light from the west. Waves on the inside bombie and a right out in front of the lagoon. Some small banks down the beach. All affected by light rips from the out going water. Get out there.
Long Reef smaller 1 – 2 foot.
Posted on September 25th, 2010 in Longy.Beautiful morning down at Long Reef with hardly any breeze or waves. Plenty of surfers though. Glassy conditions but the NE wind was just starting to make an appearance (7.10am). Swell still from the SE but has dropped considerably from yesterday to be around 1 – 2 foot. Most surfing 3 major spots; bombie, a right hand bank out in front of the tower and down the beach there are a few banks. Have a great day. Surf Photos of You
3 – 4 foot at Longy early.
Posted on September 24th, 2010 in Longy.Longy had some nice waves all along the beach early this morning. The Bombie was about 3 foot but the tide was high and the waves were hard to get. There were nice waves down the beach out in front of the lagoon. Nice conditions with a light NW wind and very clean glassy surface. Waves may hang around all morning but is suppose to drop this afternoon. If you can get down there now, jump in your car. Wind to turn NE this arvo. Enjoy.
SE wind up very early (4am)
Posted on September 23rd, 2010 in Longy.A strong SE wind has been blowing since around 4. This has caused Long Reef to be very messy right up and down the beach towards Dee Why. Although there were a few brave souls out. The swell has dropped to 2 – 3 foot. But it is very sloppy. Find a protected southern corner today. Enjoy.
