Evening all,

Started out okay this morning at the protected south ends, but once the ESE wind started working its evil magic, things fell apart. You could still get a wave if you didn’t mind the chop factor and size was anywhere from shoulder high to well overhead.

Outlook for tomorrow is for a decrease in size but also for a decrease in the wind too. With luck the morning will see it not too dramatically smaller, but with less wind than today.

Here’s the latest from the Bureau:

Thursday: Wind: SE/NE 10/15 knots. Sea: about 1 metre. Swell: E/SE 2.5 to 3 metres
Friday: Wind: N/NW 15/25 knots, turning W’ly 20/30 knots later.
Saturday: Wind: W/SW winds 20/30 knots.

First tide of importance on Thursday will be a high at 0638.

Longer term outlook is for swell to stay comfortably in the surfable range through Saturday morning. Beyond that currently looks like dropping back into the marginal range… but maybe Huey will change his mind in meantime!

Hi all,
Was out and about an hour or so ago and got some pictures for you of the less than lovely conditions in the Dee Why to Gardens region. Didn’t see anyone in the water, and for good reason: it was just junky, messy, sloppy and either too big or too small.

Kick is floppy and sectiony and awful looking.

Juicy looking sections, but could you get to them in the first place?

Swell angle is going right by the northern end of Longy-Dee Why stretch.

Lot of junk mixed with weed all over Collaroy beach this morning.
