It’s happening this morning

Posted by: on May 28th, 2010

Hello Friends,

As we’d hoped, the swell has cleaned up and weather conditions have improved. Quite a crew on it at Dee Why from early. The outlook is for light and variable breezes from the northern quarters this morning. This afternoon it’s supposed to be around to the NE at 10-15kts.

The ESE swell is expected to fade a little as the day goes along, but from the look of the MHL data, it might not be by much. As the day got started it was around the 2-2.5 metre mark with a juicy 10 second average period.

Get out there if you can!

Hello Friends,

Huey’s been hammering away in the workshop overnight and he’s rolling out fresh new sets from the ESE for our amusement. Bigger ones are head high and as the day gets started, there isn’t much wind about either. Big question mark over the water quality of course thanks to all that rain.

Have to run an errand atm, so will return later with thoughts about the week ahead… the short version: lookin’ good!

Hello Friends,

Hope you got a wave today!

My venue of choice was the point at Dee Why this morning, but there were a fair few other options on offer. Swell seemed to be holding through the morning and was still rolling along this afternoon.

I came back with a few watershots from the point (gallery to come soon) and then this afternoon, I swooped down to south Narrabeen to see how it was looking there. Mostly shutting down it has to be said, but there were a few folks out giving it a go anyway.

Catchya again tomorrow!
