Hello Friends,
Glassy little south lines getting into Dee Why this morning. Sets were into the chest high range at the point and a bit bigger along the beach. The MHL buoy is showing two metres of south swell at a healthy 11 seconds apart, so I’m mildly surprised that it’s not a bit more impressive. The NE’r will kick in as the day goes along and by this afternoon it’s set to be a summery 20 kts.
Speaking of summery, I went for a splash yesterday at Longy bombies and the water seemed to just a touch warmer over last go-out and there were blue bottles drying on the beach. (Didn’t see any in the water though).
Anyway, get out there as soon as you can and make for a south swell spot for maximum energy levels.
From the look of this morning’s run of the swell forecast interpretations, we’re heading into a week of summery ordinariness. Indeed, if they have it right, we’re going to have knee high dribble for at least a week – at the big spots. Oh, and it’ll be more grey than not, with the week ahead forecast now pointing to showers every day. So make the most of today!
Go well one and all.
