Little sesh

Jumped in the water for a taste of the little east windswell currently washing against Sydney’s beaches. Got in at Gardens around 0930 and bailed when the wind started ruffling it up too much for my taste 90 mins later. Bit fat and full, and the banks are not optimal. Very high percentage of shut downs it has to be said. Still, the water is so mild, and the skies were clearing to a balmy spring day, so I’m certainly not complaining. Sets were around the shoulder high mark, maybe even a bit bigger on the biggest ones.

Gardens fun.

After I got out, I wandered up to Northy to see how it was taking the swell. A fun looking a-frame was well attended there. Actually, it was really pretty crowded considering that it was basically the only spot you could get a wave. Not a lot of juice to ’em either. I reckon Gardens had a touch more power on average compared to what I saw at Northy. But Northy had way more makeable waves (which was just as well considering the population pressure).

Sorry about the site being off the air this morning. We’re a bit mystified at this point but we’ve stepped up the monitoring efforts to see if we can track down what exactly’s going on…

Hope you’re having a top old day!
