Hello Friends,
Went for a splash at Dee Why late this afternoon to take advantage of the dropping tide. As the tide continued to drop, the waves got crunchier and the crowd grew. Sets were into the shoulder high range and it seemed that there were only a couple of consistent peaks at the south end. I could see folks up toward No Man’s too, but it appeared to be a bit smaller and less consistent.
Quite interesting catching waves out there. The sky and the sea were almost indistinguishable because it was so glassy. Kinda reminded me of surfing on a foggy day in California. I was squinting madly trying to read the size of the incoming waves, but it was difficult to really make out how they were shaping up until they were just about on top of me. Good fun. And definitely above average power and quality.
Water was warm too. Felt like about 20-21 or so.
