ESE winds deliver messiness

Hello Friends,

The pictures really tell the story of this morning’s surf situation in Sydney. You can’t hide from an ESE wind. The swell is still coming in at a respectable 10-11s apart from the SSE with an average height of around two metres at sea.

So, if you aren’t put off by chop, it should be possible to take off on the odd shoulder high set wave. Conditions at Dee Why this morning are no doubt pretty typical for beaches that are picking up the swell, ie requiring a solid dose of keeness to get one out there.

I plan to be back in an hour or two with a few more thoughts on how things are shaping up for the next week or so. In the meantime, go well with your day!
