Should be little waves about

Hello Friends,

Looks as though there should be a few small waves about this morning. The settings are virutally identical to yesterday. Swell is out of the SSE at around 1.5 metres on average with a period of 9 seconds. Find yourself a spot with optimal exposure and you ought to see the occasional chest high set wave. Wind is SW this morning but is due to gradually go around to the SE. Fortunately as it does so, the Bureau says the average speed should decrease a bit.

This morning’s run of the WAMs still is calling for a boost in size from late today from the south. The more conservative estimates are calling for the energy to be in the chest to head high plus range on sets by this afternoon. If the estimates are correct, the swell will peak overnight but there should be something at south swell spots for the early on Wednesday.

The predictions point to decreasing size from Weds lunch time through to Thursday arvo when we should see a more substantial uptick as some unusually long period (15+ sec!) 2-3 metre south swell ramps up. Again, it looks as though the peak will happen overnight, but Saturday morning should still have a few scraps as we head into smaller conditions for Sunday and Monday.

Get out there and have yourself some fun!
