Hello Friends,
Yesterday afternoon’s pulse has faded back overnight but there’s still a couple metres of south swell. Coldest morning we’ve had since August apparently, but the SW wind’s not doing much so with luck we should have waves all day and into tomorrow morning.
The latest run of the models is showing this pulse giving way to another stronger one from Saturday afternoon and pushing through to Monday morning. The call earlier in the week was for a very long period south swell, but as usually happens, that’s now been scaled back to a still juicy 11-12 seconds.
I’ll be publishing a fresh gallery of shots from yesterday afternoon. I got a handful from Avalon and a few more from Newport where Derek Hynde was playing around with a finless board.
I might get out and about with the camera again today if the schedule permits…

Friday until midnight: Wind: West to southwesterly 15 to 20 knots.Sea: 1 to 1.5 metres.Swell: Southerly 2 to 3 metres.
Saturday: Wind: South to southwesterly 20 to 25 knots.Sea: 1.5 to 2.5 metres.Swell: Southerly 2 metres increasing to 3 metres in the afternoon and evening.
Sunday: Wind: South to southwesterly 20 to 25 knots decreasing to 15 to 20 knots during the morning.
