Still start to Wednesday

Hello Friends,

A passing shower this morning was followed by a sunny break and the scene at Dee Why fairly sparkled. Happily for those who’d rocked up earlier, there were a few small waves coming in and the wind was too faint to ruffle the surface. One of those mornings when the waves probably won’t get much above the chest high mark, but if you’re at a south swell spot, fun is to be had.

The Bureau says we have a 90 percent chance of rain and the wind will be a factor as the day goes along. The call is for 15-20kts out of the S to SE, so it’s the old story of getting in early – or lowering your standards considerably later.

This morning’s run of the swell forecast models are pointing to a steady weakening of energy levels across the next four or five days. Sadly, it looks as though the weekend could pretty much be flat for much of the east coast, so it looks like an opportunity to bank some brownie points ahead of the traditional (we hope!!) autumn surf season.

Have yourself a great Wednesday, wherever you may find yourself!
