Scratching around

Hello Friends,

This morning saw a waist high NE windswell with an average period of about 7 seconds making its very slight presence felt at spots with the best orientation. I checked Curly and Dee Why and can report that there were maybe a dozen in the water all up. That short average period means the waves aren’t overly energetic, so if you’re keen to get wet, take your small wave gear.

The latest round of the wave model interpretations predicts that the little waves will get smaller today and tomorrow we could see flatness.

Those models continue to predict 3-4 metres of south swell on Wednesday and 2-3 metres on Thursday. The wind will be pretty strong from the south over the peak period of the swell, so I’m not expecting particularly memorable conditions. But it should be pretty big!

Have yourself a top old Monday.
