Hello Friends,
I thought it might be a bit smaller by this morning. I guess it is. The MHL buoy was showing 2 metres of 10-13 sec SE swell as Sunday got started. That meant Dee Why point was surfable looking enough to have attracted a crowd of takers by the time the sun appeared over the horizon.
Winds are offshore to start and according to the Bureau it’s going to stay that way all day. The models are calling for energy levels to decrease very slightly across the day but from the look of things we should have good waves right through.
The aforesaid models are looking rather different from yesterday’s offerings. Gone is the prospect of an ECL and if they have it right, we’re looking at surf through Tuesday morning, before we have a break of a day or so and another smallish but potentially fun size pulse arrives for the end of the working week.
I’m still processing the galleries I shot on Friday and Saturday. Friday’s list includes Northy, Mona and the Bower, while yesterday I kicked off with Tow-ins at South Narrabeen, then Northy, then shot the Bower and finally moved over to Queensie-North Steyne. All up I think there are over 1000 fresh pics of some very big and clean waves.
It’s a day for experienced riders only, so take care and I’ll look for ya through my lens.
