The swell has jumped up a little over night to be around 3 – 4 foot on most open facing beaches for the SE swell. South Curly was a little bigger than Dee Why and Long Reef, but the backwash was causing havoc. This is because of the steep shoreline at almost every beach. If you happened to get the first wave of the set it didn’t affect it so much, but from there on you got it on the take off or a critical section or anywhere.
