The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Friday 6 January 2011: Seven day outlook for Sydney:

Well despite all that huffing and puffing since yesterday the swell hasn’t done much… but that was expected to be the case…  It’s bigger out to sea but the swell is dead South so it’s going straight on by.

There will be waves around in the coming week for those still on holidays, but they will be on the smaller side – which is juust fine for those looking for relaxing surf 🙂  Don’s pics of classic California waves suggest he is getting better quality surf than we are though…

Saturday: about 1 metre or a bit more

Sunday: 1 metre or more, short period Noreast windswell

Monday: similar

Tuesday: about 1 metre East

Wednesday: ditto

Thursday: coming up in the 1-2 metre range South

Friday: about 1 metre East South East

Water temp is around 23, with the East Coast current running in close to shore.
