Hello Friends,
The dull situation remains largely unchanged from yesterday. We have a weak SSE wind swell of maybe 1.5 metres with an average period of around 7 seconds. That means feeble little knee to waist high things scudding softly into the sands of Dee Why. Tide’s coming in to a high at 1030 and the 10-15kts of south to SE wind is a predicted to go more around to the east later. Yeah, great.
The swell modelling for this morning points toward a day of not much, followed by a Sunday of maybe even less. There does seem to be a possibility of some energy coming our way late Monday through to Wednesday, but the models are also predicting a steady supply of wind out of the south to south east quarters. Still, I’d rather blown out something than blown out nothing.
Looking way ahead, there seems to be some potential for late next weekend… way too early to call it of course, but hopeful eyes will be on the models as we get closer.

Weather Situation
A cold front in the Tasman Sea extends a trough through the far northeast parts of the coast. A second trough lies through inland New South Wales, with a weakening upper trough aloft. This second trough is expected to move slowly to the northeast of the state on Saturday before the troughs in the northeast combine and deepen on Sunday. A low pressure system is expected to develop off the coast by Monday within this trough and may deepen on Tuesday.
