Hello Friends,

Go surfing this morning if you can. Should be waves pretty much everywhere. There’s some long period 15 sec SSE component in the mix this morning and that’s creating shoulder high wave faces at magnet spots. Plus, the wind is light offshore, so it’s glassy. Oddly enough half of Sydney was in the water by the time I checked at 0630, so probably not realistic to hope for uncrowded conditions. That said, there are lots of peaks at the beachs with exposure, so you won’t necessarily be competing with lots of folks if you choose wisely.

Saturday’s high tide is at 0805 and thereafter it drops fairly quickly though because it’s a big swing to the low.

I’d get out there asap, because from the shape of this morning’s swell forecast, it’s all downhill from here as we head into a paltry looking week according to the models.

I’m still on the injury bench, but I’ll be out and about this morning looking for people to take pictures of, so if you see me, wave hi.

We still have until Wednesday for the crowdfunding campaign, so my new goal is to get to 200 supporters. Hope you’ll get on board with everybody! Oh, and once you do join in, I’ll send you an invite to the glittering night of night this coming Wednesday when we roll out the red beach towel at Deck Bar. Talked to Tim Bonython yesterday and it sounds like he’ll have some impressive footage to show, plus of course there’ll be excerpts from my 1977 footage of MP, Peter Crawford, Terry Fitz, Rabbit, etc. You gotta come along! We’ll even have silent auctions for customs from Mike Psillakis and Joshua Dowling. Plus some other stuff if I get my act together and get it organised!
