Marginal looking Thursday

You have to be keen
Hello Friends,
Just the barest trickle of east wind swell showing at Dee Why this morning. It’s about a metre out at sea with an average period of around 8 seconds. Tide wasn’t really an issue at 0700 (it’s high at 1010-ish) nor was the wind a significant factor early. It was coming from the NE at around 6 kts. However, before long it will be up to a typical summer strength of 15-25 kts. Unfortunately I don’t think it’ll do an awful lot for surf prospects. If you can get your head into an onshore junk surfing attitude, there might be an opportunity or two at exposed spots.

The next few days look pretty marginal to me. Mornings look the best shot, with today’s dribbly knee to waist softies giving you a pretty good idea of what to expect.

There seems to be some hope in the long range forecasts for a little SE pulse mid next week when we could see a south change rattle the windows. As always I’ll be keeping an eye on it for ya.

Have yourself a great Thursday, and keep on smilin’!
