They missed it

Hello Friends,

Running over an hour behind on the report this morning thanks to a Windows update. Grrrrr! Anyway, there’s 1.7 metres of 9 second period ESE swell showing on the MHL buoy this morning, so it’s only down a little over yesterday. Wind is out of the north though, so I’m not sure there’s much time left for Dee Why this morning. Might be something up at Longy.

Wave outlook for the remainder of the week is so-so according to the models.
Strong northerlies from this afternoon through tomorrow, followed by south change.

I hope to be back later with another picture or two…

Have yourself a top Thursday everybody!

Forecast issued at 4:10 am EDT on Thursday 28 November 2013.
Weather Situation
A weak high pressure system over the north coast moves over the northern Tasman Sea today, ahead of trough moving over western NSW. Fresh to strong northeasterly winds are expected to develop ahead of this trough, shifting southerly as it moves over the south coast this evening. Fresh to strong southerly winds behind the trough extend up the NSW coast on Friday, reaching the north coast by evening. Southerly winds moderate but continue into the weekend as a high pressure system over the Bight becomes the dominant weather feature moving over the Tasman Sea into the new week.
