"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Grey with small but clean waves

Hello Friends,
Last night there were head plus sets hitting the point. The NE’r was tearing them apart though but I was hoping they might survive overnight.
Wind arrived with a bang early this morning and it seems to have smoothed away most of the remnant swell. It was still possible to catch ’em along the rocks at the point, but you’d be doing well if you got something into the waist high range. The beachy didn’t have many takers for the small and sideshore little bumps.
Wind was running 15 to 20kts from the south as the day got started under low, but thus far dry, grey skies.
The 0400 MHL data showed the swell coming from the east and the south with average periods in the 5-7 second range.
Tide will next be low at 1255 and then high again at 1845.
Wind is going to be a factor all day and at the same time the swell is supposed to be weakening as we head into what is currently shaping as a week of small, to near flat conditions. Here’s hoping the models are way off.
Have yourself a great Monday one and all!
