"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

As you were

Hello Friends,

Barely half a metre of SSE swell at 12 seconds apart as of 0800 this morning in Sydney. And that means only the barest hint of swell for Dee Why. Nothing happening at the point obviously, but up the beach it looked as though there would be the odd waist high bomb set. So, if today’s the day for you to surf, I’d take the floatiest option in your quiver and go equipped with zen like patience.

In line with expectations, the outlook remains bleak for anything of interest until Friday when a south change should deliver an increasing SE swell by around lunchtime. The main issue with it looks like being the very short period. I’m hoping for waist to chest at magnet spots that don’t mind the forecast NE breezes expected in the afternoon.

Curiously the models are saying we could get a very juicy one-day-wonder pulse from Monday to Tuesday thanks to a very short duration but long period dead south swell.

Have yourself a good one and stay happy!

All's quiet at 0900
