The waiting game

Hello Friends,

Another beautiful morning for Sydney with a high of 23 expected later. The only problem is the lack of waves. According to the MHL buoy floating off Sydney, there’s about a metre of SE swell with a period of 11 seconds. To the extent it matters, the tide will be high at 1015. The wind call is for a summery 15-25 kts of NEr as the day goes along.

The Goat’s forecast should be along soon, but for what it’s worth, the models seem to be pointing toward a weekend for catching up on you non-surf life. You might get a tiny wind-blown burger someplace this afternoon, but you’ll want to be extra keen. And it could be the middle of next week before Huey slings us any energy.

Have yourself a great Friday everyone!

Weather Situation

A high pressure system centred over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge across the New South Wales, resulting in east to northeasterly winds along the coast. A trough will develop over the central west of the state on Saturday, with a short-lived southerly change expected along southern parts of the coast before a likely return to northeasterly airflow on Sunday.
