"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Sideshore and much smaller this morning

Hello Friends,
Yesterday’s intensity has, as expected, subsided significantly. Set wave faces at Dee Why around 0730 were in the waist to chest range. There seemed to be quite a wait for the waves too. Worse, the wind was out of the SSE at 15 kts or so and as the pictures show, it wasn’t making the conditions any more attractive. Tide wasn’t an issue this morning as the low today is at 0955

At 0500 the MHL buoy was still showing 4.4 metres of SSE swell at about 13 seconds. Looking at Dee Why a couple of hours later makes me think it’s probably dropped significantly since. Certainly there wasn’t anything even remotely in the 4+ metre range!

Outlook is for the decline to continue through the weekend with tomorrow looking pretty marginal and beyond that, well, as the Goat puts it, we’re in for variable conditions.

BTW, I managed to get a few pictures yesterday at Dee Why and later when the wind shifted, at Longy of the back bombie crew.

Have yourself a top Friday everyone!
