Monday surf day both sides

Hello Friends,

About 1.5 metres of 9-sec period SSE swell coming in for the early in Sydney. Well exposed spots should be in the waist to shoulder range on sets. Wind was west at 0630 and with luck will stay light all morning before going east this afternoon. Next tide is a low at 1120.

Tomorrow morning looks like being smaller but still surfable and then, with luck, it should be back up a bit for Wednesday morning’s sesh. Thereafter it looks kinda quiet to me, but with little semi-surfable bumps in the am through the weekend.

A touch smaller over on this side of the pond, but still some little waves around so I might take the mal and go find a few slides later. This morning’s postcards come, once again, from Mesa Lane where the swell was still offering the odd diversion for the half dozen in the water on a warm and mostly clear-skied Sunday morning.

Have a great Sunday one and all!

Weather Situation

A high pressure system over the Bight extends a ridge into New South Wales today in the wake of a cold front which affected the region during the weekend. This will result in a fairly weak pressure pattern today, with light to moderate winds expected in most coastal areas except the far south where a passing front will generate stronger winds. A weak trough will move along the southern and central coast during Tuesday, decaying in the north early Wednesday as the high shifts east to the Tasman Sea and becomes dominant. This is forecast to bring a return to generally northerly winds during the second half of the week, increasing Thursday and Friday as the next trough approaches from the west.
