Your knees might get wet

Hello Friends,

Light NW winds, partly cloudy skies, relatively mild temps, but very close to flat at Dee Why this morning. The MHL buoy is showing a little under a metre of 14-second period south swell. So, there might be a knee high bump at spots with optimal exposure to the swell direction. Tide’s high at 0955, so there’s that issue too.

Outlook is for the surf prospects to remain, shall we say, muted for the rest of the day. The models are pretty much lined up on the prospects for the next three days. Tomorrow should be just as tiny and the same looks likely for Friday morning. But at some point on Friday afternoon, there should be obvious signs of a fresh south pulse. Unfortunately, it’s going to coincide with showers and 20-30 kts of southerly…arggh!

As we get closer, we’ll find out if there’s much hope for the southerly to fade back so we can enjoy the dropping south swell on Sunday…

Have a great day one and all!
