Sunny Tuesday morning, but near waveless

Hello Friends,

A beautiful morning in Sydney. Bit nippy to start, but skies are clear and wind was lightly from the W-WNW. Alas, there were no waves to be seen when I scanned the beach for the first time around 0630.
Looking at the MHL data from 0500, there was about 1.5 metre, 12-sec SSE swell being detected. At Dee Why that was translating into nothing at the point and only the tiniest hope of a knee high bomb set up the beach from there. Tide was high at 0445 and will be low at 1025. Weather outlook is for a high of 20 and a mostly sunny day.
Swell is supposed to pick up a tiny bit tomorrow according to the Bureau. But it’ll be southerly with an overlay of S-SW wind in the 15-20 kt range. So not spectacularly wonderful prospects I’m afraid. The more optimistic predictions are saying we might get into the shoulder high plus range at south magnets.
Thursday is predicted to be afflicted with southerly wind in the 15-25 kt range, but the swell should be down by not too much over Wednesday’s peak. The early will be the best shot I’d guess.
Have a great Tuesday everybody and get up to some good where you can!
