Waves on a sunny Sunday morning

Hello Friends,

We had a beautiful morning along the beaches of Sydney. Wind was light offshore and tide was coming into the high at 0915 when I checked it for the first time. The MHL buoy was showing 2 metres of 13-second SSE swell at 0500 and at 0730 we were seeing chest to head high sets at the point and along the beach.
Wind will come up soon and be a summery NE’r at 15-20 kts by this afternoon. So, the plan is to hit it asap.
The week ahead looks mildly promising – particularly for the morning sessions. Things look like they might turn southerly and rainy again toward Friday, but there is some variability in the predictions, so we shall see what we shall see I guess.
Have a top old Sunday everyone and stay happy!

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea will strengthen today, while a trough develops in western New South Wales. This pattern will generate increasing northeasterly winds over most waters later today, freshening further during Monday as the trough moves east. On Tuesday, the trough is expected to bring a southerly change to southern and central parts of the coast before stalling and weakening. A cold front looks set to bring a more substantial southerly change at the end of the week.
