Not much, but not flat either for Friday morning

Hello Friends,

Wind was out of the north early, but it’ll go around to the NE before long and then get up to 15-20 kts later. At Dee Why the waves were in the knee high range with the odd slightly bigger one. Not too many people in the water, but it wasn’t empty either. Surface conditions were okay, if a bit bumpy.
At 0400 the MHL buoy was picking up 1.2 metres of SSE energy with a period of around 12 sec. Once that swell gets in closer to the shore, it’s more east looking – and it’s only (rarely) in the 1.2 metre range at the magnets.
Tide was high at 0500 and will hit low at 1145.
As for the week ahead, well, as always I defer to His Goatness.
Good luck if you’re having a sniff around for a wave today and even if the schedule doesn’t permit, have a great day!
