Good, Friday waves

Hello Friends,

Swell’s continued its very gradual decline overnight, but Dee Why point and the beach are still seeing head high wave faces on the sets. The latest MHL data for Sydney shows the swell coming from E by ESE at about 1.5 metres with an average period of close to 11 seconds. As the pictures show, there was a healthy crew in the water at the point and a few bods scattered up the beach from the club. (The banks are still mostly straight handers).
As of 0800 wind was coming from the north. It’ll drift around to the northwest later. Next tide’s a high at 1020 and we’ll be back to low at 1625.
According to the Goat, today’s looking the best shot for the coming week, but he’s not unhopeful either…
Have yourself a good one and stay happy!

Weather Situation
A weakening high pressure system lies over eastern New South Wales, directing east to northeasterly winds over most coastal waters. A trough and southerly change will move along the southern and central coasts late Friday before stalling in the north during Saturday. A new high moving in behind this trough should see a return to generally light onshore winds on Sunday and Monday, although there is some uncertainty in the position of a trough expected to linger off the coast early in the week.
