Real small but not absolutely flat

Hello Friends,

Ankle to knee with the odd waist high bomb as Saturday got started on the beaches of Sydney. Swell’s a metre or so out of the SSE at a touch under 8 seconds apart. Wind was coming lightly from the west and from what the Bureau says, it’s not going to get up to much today. Saturday’s morning tide is a high at 0940 so conditions are not only smooth and small, they’re also kind of fat.
Take your floatiest surf option today would be my advice.
Weather should be partly cloudy with a high of 25.
Tomorrow is shaping to be pretty much a rinse and repeat of today’s conditions.
MHL’s modelling is pointing to a little uptick in the size late Monday into Tuesday. Unfortunately the reason it’s expected to come up is that a 15-20 kt SE change is on the cards. Tuesday-Wednesday is shaping to be bigger than today but there’s a question mark over the timing of the wind switch from south to SW. Maybe late Wednesday.
Some models are calling for an improvement to average periods into the 10-12 sec range around Thursday… so maybe… fingers crossed…
Have yourself a top old Saturday everyone!
