Smoky and micro Sunday morning

Hello Friends,

Still and smoky start to Sunday in Sydney. There were a few SUP riders looking for something, anything, up the beach from Dee Why proper when I checked for the first time at 0700. Size looked to be in the ankle to knee range in that area, but smaller still at the Dee Why end.
As of 0600 the MHL buoy off Sydney was detecting a little under a metre of 9-second east wind swell. That being the case, there may be some slightly bigger sets at magnets. Of course there is the tide. It’s coming into the high at 1030, so along with being really tiny, it’s going to be fat.
Should be a sunny day and summery warm too with light SW breezes.
Outlook continues to be for very small conditions again tomorrow and then for it to be a touch bigger but southerly on Tuesday. Most of the models are showing it dropping back a little on Wednesday, but there are also a couple of outliers (?) showing it being a bit better overall for hump day. Bottom line though, is there doesn’t seem to be anything notable in the long range outlook.
Ah well, keep on smilin’ the waves will return!
