Glassy and knee to waist

Hello Friends,

Had the opportunity to see Freshwater, Curl Curl and Dee Why this morning at about 0700. As the headline says, it was glassy and knee to waist at all three places. The swell’s not inconsistent, but it’d feel that way in the water because our dire bank situation continues. At all three beaches the shutdowns were running at about 90%. Maybe we need a Royal Commission or ASIC to look into our banks…
Wind was not a factor, but the forecast tells us it’ll gradually get around to the east to NE later. At 0600 the MHL buoy was showing the dominant energy coming out of the SE. It was about a metre at 8 seconds. Tide’s low at 0840 and back to high at 1445.
It’ll be interesting to see what the Goat says about our prospects because it looks to me as though we’re basically in for not much change to the settings for a few days yet. Monday still looks like being a bit bigger, but with south wind.
So, the wait for quality continues…
Have a great day everyone and keep on smilin’!

Weather Situation
A strengthening high pressure system in the Tasman Sea is extending a ridge along the New South Wales coast, while a broad trough lies over the state’s west. This pattern is directing southeast to northeasterly winds over coastal waters, with little change expected during the next day or two. The next southerly change is forecast to accompany the passage of a trough on the weekend.
