Big, showery, maybe offshore early

Hello Friends,
When I checked at 0430, the wind was offshore and light, it was raining in Manly (but not much north from there) and the MHL buoy was showing 3 metres of 10-sec SSE swell. Tide would be low at 0510 and back to high at 1115. Should definitely be a few wave options for the keen (see below) before the predicted southerly fills in later.
Unfortunately with around 25mm of rain in the last 24 hours and a bit more on tap for today, water quality has taken a hit. The Manly stretch, north Curly and Northy all have a ‘pollution likely’ warning and water is officially suss from the Bower to Bungan.
Having had a quick scan of the various prediction models just now, I’d say they’ve all had a look at what the Goat predicted last night. It would seem you’re in for surf of one form or another for much of the coming week… ya lucky pups!
Still hopelessly flat and tiny in Santa Barbara and marginal to tiny up and down the coast for 400km in either direction. But I grabbed some stills of the “action” for ya anyway…
From the look of it, Trestles is the pick of the surf options (unfortunately for me it’s about 4-5 hrs away…)
