TG’s Surf Forecast
Surf forecast issued Thursday 10 September 2016
Bit of a mixed bag ahead but there should be some options if you take it when it’s there, or if you’re not too fussy at other times.
Fresh onshore NE wind blowing right now is making small windblown waves, and sets the scene for tomorrow… should bring it up a little for
Friday: into and building through the 1-2 metre range as then wind continues into
Saturday: say around 2 metres at NNE Spots, but because so much North may miss a few places, so less in more protected NE corners…but the wind is expected to turn offshore
Sunday: be flexible..change of direction as a little bit starts to show from a Low off the South Coast…say around 2 metres at open beaches, less at other Southern corners as it’s looking very SSW, short period, and short lived
Monday: around 1 metre or so at dead South spots…but light wind
Tuesday: 1 metre or less due South…but light offshore
Wednesday: slight uptick but very SSW, so let’s call it about 1 metre or so at receptive places………open to dead South….due..dead…take your pick…and offshore early on
Thursday: 1 metre or less dead South.
Water temp is around 18. Haven’t seen a whale for a couple of weeks.
Enjoy.
