The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Thursday 25 May 2017: Seven day outlook for Sydney:

Weather looks good for the weekend and early next week, with corresponding moderate to small surf conditions until later in the week.  As with today, there’ll be waves to ride at some places at the right tides if you want have some exercise. If you just want to get wet, the water temp is starting to edge down the scale slowly. More cool mornings will probably see most people staying away till the day warms up, so you’ll have it all to yourself 🙂

Surf:

Friday: somewhere in the 1-2 metre range South East and with enough of a pulse to get into some places the small dead South swell today didn’t

Saturday:around 1, 1+ metre South East with an occasional slightly bigger one from time to time

Sunday: around 1, 1+ metre of North East windswell

Monday: down, 1 metre or less

Tuesday: around 1 metre or less with a possible little pulse showing at times at places open to dead South swell

Wednesday: probably similar – despite larger dead South swell offshore going straight past – until later when there might be a little pulse showing on beaches open to the South

Thursday: at this stage it’s looking like being in the 1-2 metre range at dead South places.

Water temp is around 19-20

The East Coast Current is starting to slow its southward push and warm water is starting to retreat up the coast. Whales should start appearing in numbers soon as they head north for their winter hols.
