Hello Friends,
The dropping trend evident yesterday has continued overnight and this morning saw only small and weak knee to waist high bumps along the beach at Dee Why. The point appeared to be too small to surf. The 1.5 m high tide at 0730 wasn’t helping the cause either. Wind was out of the WSW at 10-15 kts, but is expected to swing more north soon and then to go around to the S-SE by lunch time. The Bureau’s modelling doesn’t show much of interest surfwise today but tomorrow morning might possibly see a brief uptick into the fun range – wind permitting. But if the other models are right, that could be about it for the good stuff for a week at least. No surprise there given that we’re heading into the doldrums of spring. Time to look at diversifying the exercise regime I guess.
Should be a pleasant day in Sydney, so enjoy and go well!
Weather Situation
A high pressure system lies over the northern Tasman Sea, while a cold front is moving through southern coastal waters. Fresh to strong northerly winds prevail ahead of the front, with winds shifting southerly behind it. The front will continue northwards during the day and reach the Queensland border in the late evening. A new high will move across New South Wales in the wake of the front on Wednesday.
