Waves for Saturday morning

Hello Friends,

Been awhile wince we’ve had glassy waist plus at lots of place on a Saturday morning, but that’s exactly the situation today. Wind was barely there when I grabbed the pics and skies were clear on a day the BoM tells us will reach a summery 26. Along the Collaroy to Narrabeen stretch there were hopefuls from south of Wetherill street, but the best prospects were up toward Northy where it looked as though folks were seeing some chest high sets. Around at the Longy to Dee Why stretch, there were people in good numbers from pretty much Longy shories to Dee Why point. The most focused energy looked to be from around the Pole north toward the lagoon.
At 0400 the MHL buoy was showing a touch under 2 metres of 7-sec SSE wind bump. Tide was dropping to the low at 0840 and we’ll be back to a 1.4 m high at 1505.
The wind should gradually pick up from the north before drifting NE and getting up to 15-20 kts for the late session.

more thoughts on the outlook in a sec.

Soft little bumps at the point 0645

Weather Situation
A low pressure system over the northern Tasman Sea is losing influence over coastal New South Wales, as a weak ridge of high pressure sprawls across the region. This will result in northeasterly winds increasing over most waters today and tomorrow, before a strong cold front brings a vigorous southerly change during Monday and Tuesday. Within this front, a low pressure circulation is expected to deepen off the southern coast mid-week, maintaining fresh to strong winds in many areas.
